Dear Harvest Family and Friends,
The story of Harvest Annapolis has always been the story of God at work. The journey began in the summer of 2015 when God called a handful of people to step out in faith together and plant a new church built on the Word of God, focused on Jesus Christ, and committed to fulfilling the Great Commission. Over the years, God has used your faithful gospel partnership and incredibly generous giving to impact hundreds of lives for Jesus. Thank you! Throughout the past ten plus years many things have changed, but two things have remained constant: Jesus is building His church, and Harvest is committed to reaching our neighborhoods and the nations with the life-changing, good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are committed to ADVANCING GOD’S KINGDOM FROM OUR NEIGHBORHOODS TO THE NATIONS by being a church family who continually steps out in faith together to fulfill the great commission locally, regionally, and globally for the glory of God as we embrace opportunities to make and multiply mature disciples for Jesus Christ. As we approach the end of the year, would you please consider stepping out in faith with us by making an end of year financial contribution above and beyond normal tithes and offerings by December 31st? At Harvest, we believe that generous hearts lead to multiplied opportunities, and we strongly believe that God is asking us to ADVANCE GOD’S KINGDOM FROM OUR NEIGHBORHOODS TO THE NATIONS and take advantage of the incredible and timely opportunities described below.
We are seeking to raise $7,500 above normal tithes and offerings through end of year giving contributions during our ADVANCING GOD’S KINGDOM FROM OUR NEIGHBORHOODS TO THE NATIONS campaign to be used for the following:
ADVANCING GOD'S KINGDOM LOCALLY:
$5,000 to sponsor our gospel partner, Southwest Baptist Church (SWBC)’s, Christmas outreach called “Christmas on the Square” at Union Square Park in their neighborhood in Baltimore. We are partnering with Pastor Akin Omisanmi, and his wife, Kellee, to support the revitalization and replant of this church in Baltimore. For their first Christmas since the church was replanted, SWBC is going into their neighborhood to meet the people there where they are and show and share the love of Christ at this Christmas outreach from 5pm-7pm on Saturday, December 20th. There will be a walk-through nativity where the gospel will be presented, and the park will be full with other activities such as cookies and hot chocolate, fire pits, a photo booth, Christmas crafts, and a petting zoo. What an incredible opportunity to partner with SWBC to help them have tremendous gospel impact in their neighborhood during this holiday season. Please join us in praying for God to move powerfully in the hearts of this community during this outreach and transform lives through the power of the gospel.
In addition to financially sponsoring this outreach, we are looking to send a team of 10 people to serve at this event as a blessing to SWBC and the community. Please prayerfully consider signing up to serve so that the SWBC members can focus on interacting with their neighbors and building relationships.
ADVANCING GOD'S KINGDOM GLOBALLY:
$2,500 to help plant a new Great Commission Collective (GCC) church in an unreached people group in Pakistan. The GCC church planter training materials have been translated from English into Punjab and Urdu by a native Pakistani pastor at a GCC church in Canada and are being taught virtually to 23 Pakistani church planters in Pakistan. Each of these men is going to plant a church focused on pursuing deep discipleship throughout different parts of predominantly Muslim Pakistan in a country where 98.7% of the country is unreached, less than 1 in 1000 people currently follow Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and over 70% of the people are under Sharia law. Your gifts will help plant a new church to take the transformational light and hope of the gospel to a very dark place that desperately needs Jesus. What an incredible opportunity to have a front row seat and a personal role in seeing lives, families, generations, and Lord-willing a country changed and transformed through the power of the gospel! Please pray with us for God to do a profound work in and through these new churches for His glory. Our God is able, and He is able now! One of my favorite verses in Scripture, and one that God has imprinted on my heart over these past nine years, is “He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it” (1Thessalonians 5:24).
