Living Sent

Acts 13:1-3

Big Idea: Grasping Jesus’ Worthiness Produces Within Me A Joyful Willingness To Live Sent By Jesus In Faithful Obedience

Living Sent:

1) A Worship-Fueled Willingness (v. 1-3)

“Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.”
- Acts 9:15-16

“For a whole year they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians.”
- Acts 11:26

Four Characteristics Of A Missional Culture (v. 1-3)
1) Worship is a 24/7 lifestyle (v. 2)
2) Dependence on God is habitual (v. 2)
3) Discipleship is foundational (v. 1)
4) Living sent is normal (v. 2-3)

2) A Spirit-Led Obedience (v. 2-3)

“If you love me (Jesus), you will keep my commandments.”
- John 14:15

Clarifying My Call:
1) What does God’s word say about it?
2) What does godly wisdom say about it?
3) Why is my heart truly interested in it?
4) What does God the Holy Spirit say about it?
