Luke 1:26-38
Big Idea: The Lord’s Worthiness Compels Our Wholehearted Surrender And Propels Our Faithful Obedience
The Lord Is Worthy:
1) His grace sustains and strengthens us (v. 26-31)
“Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel.”
- Isaiah 7:14
“He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it.”
- 1 Thessalonians 5:24
2) Jesus reigns sovereignly and eternally over us (v. 31-33)
3) He does the seemingly impossible in, through, and around us (v. 34-37)
3 aspects of the power of God that strengthen and sustain us for surrender and obedience:
1) The power of the presence of God (v. 35)
2) The power of the people of God (v. 36)
3) The power of the purposes of God (v. 37)
4) His way and His Word are always what’s best for us (v. 38)

7) My relationships
8) My future plans/current priorities
9) My readiness
