To God Be The Glory

Romans 11:1-36

Big Idea: For From God And Through God And To God Are All Things.

To God be the glory forever:

1) God has chosen a remnant of ethnic Israelites for salvation by grace (v. 1 -10)

God has not rejected His people:
1) Paul’s personal testimony (v. 1b)
2) God’s covenant-keeping character (v. 2a)
3) God’s remnant in Elijah’s day in the Old Testament (v. 10:2b-4)
4) God’s remnant in the present day (v. 5-7)

2) God has saved and grafted in Gentiles by grace (v. 11-24)

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
– Romans 1:16

Gratitude for God’s saving grace to Gentiles (v. 17-24):
1) Thank you God for Your grace to graft in Gentiles to Your family (v. 17)
2) Thank you God for being the nourishing root in which we can abide, remain, and be strengthened (v. 17-18)
3) Thank you God that we can stand fast daily in You through faith (v. 19-20)
4) Thank you God for the humbling reality of Your sovereign work in salvation (v. 20)
5) Thank you God for Your kindness and severity (v. 22)
6) Thank you God for Your grace to graft back in ethnic Israelites who put their personal faith in Jesus Christ in the future (v. 23-24)

3) God will save many ethnic Israelites in the future by grace (v. 25-32)
